SIMON BURRIN FROM CANTERBURY HAS ADMITTED SEX CHARGES AFTER STING BY ONLINE PAEDOPHILE HUNTERS
A 37-year-old Barman from Canterbury / Heathfield, Simon Burrin, has pleaded guilty to attempting to groom what he thought was a 14-year-old boy.
Simon Burrin will be sentenced in the new year after he plead guilty to the offence at Canterbury Crown Court. The case is thought to be one of the first cases of its kind brought to Canterbury Crown Court after a hard-working team of paedophile hunters, put together a well-operated sting to bring Mr Burrin to justice.
The vigilante group know as Internet Interceptors, were the people behind the sting, the group were said to have been sent several indecent images by Simon Burrin who thought he was sending the images to a 14-year-old boy. Simon Burrin had tried to arrange to meet what he thought was the 14-year-old boy to carry out ‘sexual acts’, little did he know that he was actually talking to the internet paedophile hunters ‘Internet Interceptors’.

Simon worked as a barman at a bar called Limes in Rosemary. The Barman, who now lives in a pub based in Heathfield, East Sussex has been remanded in custody while reported are written by the probation service, to be considered during his sentencing hearing next year.
